Paul Quinn Women’s Soccer Secures 3–0 Victory Over Bethany (KS) Behind Hurst’s Hat Trick
Dallas, Texas – September 3, 2025 Paul Quinn College earned its first win of the season in front of the home crowd Wednesday evening, defeating Bethany College (KS) 3–0 in a commanding performance highlighted by forward Cora Hurst’s hat trick
Quick Strike Sets the Tone
The Tigers wasted no time establishing control, with Hurst scoring just four minutes into the match. The early goal put Bethany on the back foot, and Paul Quinn's attack continued to apply pressure throughout the half.
By halftime, the Tigers had already outshot the Swedes 10–1 and earned nine corner kicks. Bethany's goalkeeper, Marie Miera Y Moseley, made several crucial saves to keep the score within reach.
Second-Half Dominance
The second half belonged entirely to Hurst. In the 69th minute, she doubled Paul Quinn's lead with a header that left the keeper no chance. Just eight minutes later, she completed her hat trick with another unassisted strike, sealing the victory.
Hurst finished with nine shots, six on target, and all three of Paul Quinn's goals, putting her stamp on the match as the difference-maker.
Defensive Control
While the offense shined, the Paul Quinn defense was equally solid. Goalkeeper Fernanda Rosas recorded two saves en route to a clean sheet, with her back line allowing just one shot on goal the entire game.
